Our original seed was sourced from Ed Fraser of Fraser Farms, located just outside Rochester, New York. After leaving Puerto Rico years ago, Ed longed for Aji Dulce and, as a market farmer, aimed to cultivate Aji Dulce for his Puerto Rican friends in Rochester. For almost a decade, we have made significant selections focusing on early maturity and high yields while preserving the sweet, rich flavor of Aji Dulce.
This sweet seasoning pepper has a delightful smoky and sweet flavor, Scoville Rating: 100-500. It is popular across the Caribbean and takes approximately 90 days to grow from transplant.
Additionally, remember that Aji Dulce, being a Capsicum chinense, will perform better when started three weeks earlier and on heat mats compared to the traditional C. anuum peppers. Free Shipping!
